Multiport Switcher with Built-In Event Manager
Huddle rooms can greatly benefit from the features provided by our latest switcher, the UMX-HDMI-140.
This device was designed for digital and analog video and audio signals: VGA, YPrPb, DVI, HDMI 1.4 and DP 1.1 with HDCP and analog stereo audio from local inputs or embedded 7.1 HBR audio. The unit’s Advanced EDID Management can fix and lock EDID data on each input connector. The device has VGA, HDMI, DVI and DisplayPort input port connectors, forwarding video to the HDMI output. It offers convenient further ports for audio embedding and de-embedding, including a 3.5 jack connector for audio input. Control options include IR, RS232 and Ethernet.
Event Manager, Lightware’s built-in control solution is also among the device’s features, which provides the necessary control for smaller collaborative spaces.
Multimode Single Fiber Optical Extenders
One of Lightware’s latest developments is a fully HDMI 2.0 compatible optical extender pair. This extender pair is particularly recommended for rental and staging applications, 4K live events, and for future-proof operation centers.
The HDMI20-OPTC-RX/TX220-Pro extenders can be mounted on a rack shelf or used standalone, the fixed rack ears also serve easy handling and bump protection. The devices feature top and side mounting threads to conform the strictest installation safety and security standards and ‘silent mode’ to prevent blinking feedback LEDs to disturb the presentation with their light.
The optical outputs are paired with a Gigabit Ethernet port each for easy control and configuration. The Galvanic isolation between source and display helps avoid ground loops and hum effects. No delay occurs in the signal during optical conversion, meaning the video image is transported without frame latency.
Full 4K Matrix Switcher
Lightware presents MX2-8x8-HDMI20-Audio, the first of the new, Lightware MX2 standalone matrix switcher series with HDMI 2.0, which supports uncompromised Full 4K UHD resolution at 60Hz 4:4:4.
Its compact size and silent design makes it particularly suitable for offices and meeting rooms, for 4K live events, and for future-proof operation centers. It is also a perfect choice for advanced home theater enthusiasts.
This standalone product has 8 HDMI 2.0 inputs and 8 HDMI 2.0 outputs transmitting up to 4K at 60Hz in 4:4:4 colorspace format, while supporting HDR, 3D, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio.
Proprietary Lightware technologies of Advanced EDID Management and Pixel Accurate Reclocking are included. Audio embedding and de-embedding features are available via balanced Phoenix audio connectors, one at each HDMI I/O ports.
Control options include a built-in website, RS-232, Ethernet and USB.
Discover the Ultimate Bandwidth Variable Scaling Extender
Lightware’s latest engineering concept is the UBEX optical scaler extender, which is now being developed into a commercial product to be released to the market very soon. The UBEX extenders will be showcased for the first time at the InfoComm 2017.
The design features a new, optical solution, which allows 4K UHD@60Hz 4:4:4 uncompressed signal extension with latency-free multistreaming.
The video compression level of the signal can be freely set by the user. Using visually lossless compression, UBEX is able to extend two UHD signals over a single 10 Gbps Ethernet port. This results in a massive cost saving on the required Ethernet router side, as with UBEX only ¼ router size is required as compared to the needs of other 10 Gbps IP based architectures.
The device is designed to use Video-over-IP transmission with standard 10 Gbps SFP and optical modules installed, which are easily exchangeable by the user.
One of the prime advantages of this new architecture is scalability.
The maximum reachable distance can be adjusted to vary between 400 m and 100 km depending on the type of optical modules installed in the device, and the signal properties. UBEX has a bandwidth of up to 20 Gbps as the user’s application requires. The number of fibers required for the transfer depends on the link speed and the optical modules used: for 10 Gbps one or two fibers, for 20 Gbps two or four fibers are needed. Transceiver operation mode is also available.
UBEX can work both in a complex network with the use of a standard Ethernet switch, and it can also work in a point-to-point setup, as a traditional optical extender pair.
The extender also features stereo audio ports and optional low speed connectors including RS-232, IR and GPIO.
